Evaluation
Evaluations may include parent interviews, a speech-language sample, observation, standardized assessments, and therapist-client interaction. The evaluation process helps your therapist develop an understanding of your child's strengths and challenges to guide individualized recommendations. Following the evaluation, in collaboration with parents, we will develop a treatment plan and therapy goals.
Therapy
Taking a child-centered approach, every session is individualized to your child's goals, abilities, and preferences. We understand children learn best when they are engaged and having fun; therefore, every session will incorporate evidence-based strategies along with interactive, hands-on activities. Parents are encouraged to be a part of the therapy process and will be provided with tools for practice at home.

Step One
Reach out for a free 15-minute consultation to discuss your needs, explain our services, and determine whether we might be a good fit. If you would like to move forward, we will send an initial intake packet.
Step Two
While planning your child's evaluation session, we will review your intake paperwork. The evaluation will take
place in your home and will be scheduled at a date and time that is most convenient for your family.
Step Three
Our evaluation process will help determine your child's communication abilities and needs. We will work with your family to make a treatment plan and schedule therapy sessions to work toward the goals that we form together.

Skill Builders Speech Therapy, LLC is proud to be an in-network provider with BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama and TricareEAST. We also offer private pay options. Please reach out to us for detailed information on our current rates and billing procedures.
